Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4–8. Take a moment to thank the teachers who make such a meaningful impact on our students.   

May brings testing, celebrations and year-end activities. We encourage families to keep good attendance habits with daily routines, tracking school events and helping students stay motivated so they remain connected, prepared and ready for next year. 

ParentVUE and ParentSquare are two tools families can use to support their student’s success in school. Each serves a different purpose—and both are helpful. ParentSquare is for communicating with schools and staff. ParentVUE lets you track grades, attendance, and update student records. Access both tools online or through mobile apps.  

Bonds and levies provide local funding for our schools and support the Highline Promise. As the Highline School Board considers future measures, we’re sharing information as it becomes available. Visit our website to explore bond projects recommended by the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee and what we know so far about a potential technology levy. 

The April 25 Keeping Our Promise school construction newsletter shares the latest on the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee's next bond recommendation. It also highlights progress on Evergreen High School's new ballfields and access road and Pacific Middle School’s final steel beam.    

You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, typically every other Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
